What are we looking for?
The Team Lead for the EMC Engineering team position is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of Engineers and Technicians, including assigning and overseeing work; training, coaching and mentoring staff; managing employee issues; interviewing; hiring and firing recommendations; approving time and expense; conducting performance reviews; employee development and performance management; ensuring the customers’ needs are fulfilled; ensuring compliance with Intertek’s Quality Management System and all other policies and procedures. This position is expected to be on-site and is not eligible for remote work.

What you'll be doing:

- Responsible for the hiring, training, development, and performance management of Team members
- Drive daily projects to ensure team members are meeting deadlines and following safety/quality protocols
- Interface with clients to discuss current and upcoming projects
- Partner with Sales team members in the preparation of quotes in a timely manner
- Responsible for efficiency and productivity within assigned area
- Responsible for ensuring invoicing is submitted timely; assist with P&L oversight, including forecasting, managing costs, etc.
- Partner with Sales and the Project Management Team to resolve non-conformance issues
- Supervise all quality requirements, equipment calibration, safety rules, and lab cleanliness standards
- Promote new business opportunities and innovations
- Oversees the performance of standardized tests, analysis of test data, and performance of routine calculations and resolves issues in a timely manner
- Communicate schedules and forecasts to management to achieve revenue targets
- Perform testing and evaluation on a variety of products to the provisions of U.S., Canadian, and other international product safety standards; writing reports; and communicating with clients
- Perform other work as required.
- Assist Engineering Manager and Operations Manager with duties as needed
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in either Electrical Engineering, Physics, or other related area
- 4+ years working in an adjacent field, industry, or position
- Experience in leading a team, either formally or informally
- Project manage
