This position provides full-time, short-term instructional teaching across multiple schools serving students in ECE through 12th grade. The teacher rotates between schools to provide short-term to long-term coverage in classrooms experiencing staffing vacancies, absences, or other disruptions. The role helps ensure students experience consistent, high-quality instruction across the network.

The ELA-S Teacher is responsible for providing high-quality, differentiated instruction to students whose primary language is Spanish. The role focuses on fostering English language acquisition while supporting academic achievement across subjects in an inclusive and supportive learning environment. This position combines language instruction with core subject teaching, helping students to develop both language skills and content knowledge needed for success in school and beyond.

- Deliver short-term instruction in classrooms (typically 1–15 days) across multiple schools, following district-aligned curriculum and plans provided by school-based teams.
- Build and maintain strong classroom culture, routines, and student engagement during each assignment, adjusting quickly to new environments.
- Coordinate closely with the network team and school principals to respond to daily staffing needs and ensure smooth transitions between assignments
- Travel between network schools regularly; maintain communication with leadership and participate in team meetings and professional development.
- Serve as a consistent instructional presence across schools and share feedback with the team to inform broader support strategies
- Other duties as assigned
- Help all students develop competence and confidence simultaneously through a balance of acquiring basic skills and developing conceptual understanding
- Monitor, supervise, coordinate and enforce rule of conduct and behavior for assigned students, and reinforce positive student behaviors in accordance with school and District policy.
- Observes, evaluates, reports and records students' performance, behavior, social development, and physical health.
- Communicates with parents or guardians, teachers, counselors, and administrators to resolve students' behavioral and academic problems.
- Prepare educational course outlines, objectives and materials according to curriculum guidelines or state and local requirements.
- Present subject matter to students, using various teaching methods and technology, adjusting teaching style and method to meet student learning style.
- May participate in extra-duty activities as outlined in the teachers' collective bargaining agreement. (this is for coaching, tutoring, or summer programs, etc. for Dept. of Labor laws)
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field required. A Master's Degree is only required for Concurrent Enrollment positions.
- Have a valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching license. Click
