Finance (FI) comprises all finance and control activities, external and internal reporting, and capital allocation processes. Provides services in the area of financial planning, accounting, controlling, reporting, performance management, tax, investor relations, treasury, and mergers and acquisitions.
Subfamily Description
Local Accounting (LAC) contains the local accounting activities in a given country and ensures compliance with statutory financial reporting requirements and regulations.
Tax Accounting Specialist is responsible for managing indirect tax and related accounting activities for region Europe in compliance with Nokia's accounting principles, internal controls policies, and reporting procedures as well as with external rules and regulations.
What you will learn and contribute to
As part of our team, you will:
- Review and approve of Indirect Tax returns and European Statistical Declarations for different countries (we cover 25 different European countries within EU)
- Communicate within and outside the organization to resolve complex problems
- Maintain relationship with foreign tax authorities and support tax audits
- Review and approve of G/L reconciliations, drive actions to clear the aged items if any
- Closing activities
- Provides support and contributes to the implementation of legal VAT changes
- Supporting global tax team regarding any upcoming issues related to taxation
- Monitor/perform the completion of daily routine tasks
- Resolve ad-hoc questions/queries concerning taxation
- Maintain internal control processes
Your skills and experience
You have:
· Indirect taxation knowledge
· VAT compliance experience (min. 3 years)
· Reviewer experience (min. 1 year)
· Finance, economics or legal degree
· Written and spoken English is a requirement, other language skills are advantage
· SAP experience
· Good team player, precise, reliable, able to meet deadlines
It would be nice if you also had:
· Analytical and Proactive thinking
· Good overview on processes
· SSC experience is an advantage
