Vanderlande is the global market leader for value-added logistic process automation at airports, and in the parcel market. The company is also a leading supplier of process automation solutions for warehouses.
Vanderlande’s baggage handling systems move 3.7 billion pieces of luggage around the world per year, in other words 10.1 million per day. Its systems are active in 600 airports including 13 of the world’s top 20. More than 39 million parcels are sorted by its systems every day, which have been installed for the world’s leading parcel companies. In addition, many of the largest global e-commerce players and distribution firms have confidence in Vanderlande’s efficient and reliable solutions.
Vanderlande’s Talent department is part of our global Talent & Learning CoE. Its mission is to bridge business strategy with the people programs, processes, and tools that motivate and enable employees to do their best work and drive business impact. Talent Management is also responsible for leading and executing our core talent management processes, performance management, talent reviews, succession planning, feedback practices, High Performing Team journeys, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives.
We’re looking for an experienced Talent Manager to help craft and implement strategies, programs, and processes that plan, find, grow, keep, and support our workforce. You will report to the Global Head of Talent Management.
Your Responsibilities:
- Strategic Translation: Support the translation of the company's strategy into thoughtful and innovative talent management plans and objectives.
- Talent Philosophy Activation: Implement and activate our new Talent Philosophy to raise the bar on performance, drive differentiation, and ensure people leader accountability for talent management.
- Leadership Development: Grow strong leaders and develop key talent to build high-performing teams.
- Inclusive Environment: Foster an inclusive environment for diverse talent to thrive.
- DEI Focus: Ensure a diversity, equity, and inclusion lens is applied to all our processes and programs. Work in partnership with the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Manager to introduce best practices.
- Talent Identification: Support and utilize methods that enable continuous improvement in effectively and efficiently identifying talent.
- Talent Growth Acceleration: Accelerate growth and impact on key talents, focusing on growing our leadership for the future.
- Leadership Enablement: Enable leaders to develop future leaders.
- Performance Management Transformation: Support/lead the transformation of our performance management process.
- Talent Review & Succession: Support/lead the talent review and succession process in partnership with the HR Business Partners.
- Process Optimization: Optimize existing processes by incorporating external best practices.
- Compensation Alignment: Work with Total Rewards to align compensation with our talent strategy and philosophy.
- Strategic Partnership: Ensure the talent management function is a strategic partner to the business and champion a culture of continuous learning, growth mindset, and knowledge sharing.
- Own one global sub-capability – Leadership & Culture, Talent & Succession, or Performance Management.
- Quality Metrics Delivery: Deliver quality metrics that drive priorities and enable better decision-making.
- Workday Optimization: Optimize Workday Talent & Performance.
Your Qualifications and Skills:
If you’re an experienced, enthusiastic, and versatile Talent & Leadership Manager, we expect you to:
- Have experience in one or more of the following areas: global HR, Talent Management, Organizational Development, Learning, or related experience, gained in innovative companies with outstanding talent management practices.
- Have a successful track record in building, implementing, and sustaining key talent management initiatives with direct, positive linkages to the achievement of business strategy.
- Have experience in supporting and delivering a broad talent management agenda with specific subject matter expertise in Talent Management.
- Have experience working in a matrix organization.
- Possess strong collaboration and influencing skills to partner with HR Business Partners and Executive Business Leaders.
- Have experience in launching mentoring and coaching programs.
