THE TEAM

The Technology Consulting & Services function brings together data and technology to create solutions for customer need. We are responsible for creating data delivery solutions, bespoke dashboarding and enabling the wider Consulting & Analytics organisation with technology solutions.

SCOPE OF THE ROLE

In this role as a Tableau Consultant you will be working as part of the Technology Consulting & Services team to build Tableau dashboards specific to customer use cases leveraging a range of data assets. Key aspects of the role include gathering customer requirements, preparation of data (using SQL and Python), development of high quality, performant dashboards and supporting with customer onboarding and change requests.

You will also have an opportunity to support the wider consulting organisation by creating materials and proof of concepts to support engagement opportunities, educating customers on the application and use of Tableau in relation to their use case.

HOW YOU’LL SUCCEED

• You will develop an idea or concept into a visual prototype within first three months;
• You will gain familiarity with Evaluate and Citeline data assets within the first three months;
• You will demonstrable competence in SQL and Python within first six months;
• You will deliver a completely new dashboard within first six months;
• You will establish good working relationships with key stakeholders in Consulting & Analytics and Innovation teams.

Requirements

WHAT IT TAKES

Essential requirements:

• Significant experience developing Tableau dashboards - please be prepared to present samples of Tableau dashboards you have created;
• Previous experience gathering and documenting requirement. (e.g workshops, surveys);
• Excellent data visualisation design skills;
• Experience using SQL for data preparation;
• Exposure to ETL workflows and tools (e.g. Alteryx);
• Exposure to relational databases, and possible integrations with Tableau;
• Experience advising on dashboard design and functionality.

Nice to have:

• Experience developing Tableau Dashboards for an external user base;
• Experience using Python, or comparable technology for ETL, analysis and visualisation;
• Experience with Snowflake as a data warehouse;
• Client facing experience;
• Ability to transform concepts and requirements into visual prototypes;
• Experience of working on several different projects/tasks concurrently;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written;
• An interest in the healthcare industry and the application of data;
• An interest in, or previous experience with UI/UX principles.
