The Systems Technician installs, configures, and maintains computer hardware and software to ensure reliable performance. The role supports help desk operations by troubleshooting issues, resolving tickets, and documenting work accurately. The technician monitors Windows systems, assists with basic Windows Server and network support, and contributes to IT infrastructure projects and system rollouts.

This position will report to our office location in Huntsville, AL at Redstone Arsenal.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties, but not all duties performed for this position. Other duties may be assigned.
• Setup of computer equipment, hardware/software installation, maintenance, and support.
• Assist with help desk tickets.
• Accurately document work performed.
• Participate in various IT infrastructure-related projects, rollouts, and implementations as needed.
• Computer hardware/software maintenance.
• Monitor and tune Windows performance.
• Maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the IT Operations team.
Minimum Qualifications:
To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualifications listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• Associate degree in an IT-related field or A+ Certification.
• Two years of work experience in administration, help desk, implementation, desktop support, and troubleshooting experience.
• Basic Windows Server and Network Support
Additional Qualifying Factors:
As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening (post accepted offer) and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.

This position requires the ability to maneuver around work sites, see, hear, and verbally communicate with co-workers and clients. Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking or standing for prolonged periods of time; frequent opportunity to move about and to work outside the office environment for extended periods involving exposure to the elements with weather that will include extreme heat, cold, wind, rain or other inclement weather, walking over rough and uneven surfaces, and routine lifting of up to 35 pounds. If required, must properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times including but not limited to: hard hats, steel toed boots, eye protection, respiratory protection, and hearing protection. Must always maintain a constant state of mental alertness.
Working Conditions
Job is performed in a combination of office and outdoor site locations. The office setting includes exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse. Outdoor settings include walking, driving, and carrying supplies throughout all seasons with exposure to heat and cold conditions, and potentially wildlife. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and loud noise.
