Our Senior Research Engineer position demands strong engineering fundamentals, expertise in analytical and numerical physics-based modeling, and the ability to select appropriate modeling fidelity for a given problem.

What You Will Do:

• modeling and analysis of novel systems for next generation engine design, space propulsion, undersea propulsion, waste heat recovery, power generation, and cooling

• military operations analysis and commercial product utilization simulations

• exploration methods for large design spaces across aerospace and defense system domains

• application of machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques (algebraic, topological, deep learning)

• implementation of novel optimization and uncertainty quantification methods

• controls and transient co-design approaches

• system demonstrations build and test

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Chemical, Nuclear Engineering or a related discipline is required with a minimum of 5+ years of work experience or a Master's Degree with 2+ years or Ph.D.

• We will consider Ph.D. candidates with no formal experience. M.S. candidates must have 2+ year of experience in a relevant work environment

• U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.

• Analytic modeling and programming skills in common languages

• Demonstrated experience in publishing and presenting research
