Riverside Research is looking for a Technical Advisor to support our AFTAC customer on the Technical Sensor Radar Support (TSRS) program.
All positions at Riverside Research require US citizenship.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide operational support to Mobile Sensor mission planning, execution and reporting
- Train and advise Air Force Mission Commander (MC)s for their roles onboard the ship
- Provide onboard technical advice to the Air Force Mission Commander (MC) whenever Mobile Sensors deploy. Deployments typically last 50-60 days but may be adjusted as needed with the alternate Technical Advisor due to operational requirements
- While deployed, be available for operational support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, as necessary to meet mission requirements.
- Validate and request adjustments for the operational software if errors are detected during testing
- Modify mission profiles to fit new scenarios if needed
- Advise MCs and operators on best practices real time if mission scenario deviates from the operational plan
- Provide advice and assistance regarding collaboration and integration of new mission capabilities and support discussions requiring subject matter expertise with other government agencies.
- Assist in development of tactics, training, standardization, and evaluation programs required for mission success.
- Liaison between operations and sustainment personnel to facilitate understanding and cooperation.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Math, or related technical field.
- Minimum of 10 years ‘experience
- Active DoD TS/SCI Security Clearance
- Solid understand of radar system functionality, performance limitations, and mission support requirements
- Ability to travel ~50% at sea or dock side at a foreign port
- Ability to remain calm in highly stressful situations
- Proven success advising a commander or leader
- Proven success at working with people from various organizations (O&M contractors, government military and civilians)
- Ability to discuss and resolve differences with colleagues so as to give unified advice to customers and stakeholders.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with MATLAB, C++, Python, or Java
- Experience with Digital Signal Processing, RF/Microwave Engineering, Antennas, Electromagnetic Fields and Waves, Communication Systems, Probability/Noise, Microwave Circuits and Networks
