Position Summary
Ultra Maritime is searching for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Systems Engineering Intern to support the development of new Radar systems. Working closely with RF, Mechanical, Electrical, and Software Engineers, the System Engineering Intern will support the system development from initial design, through design finalization, and through the integration and test phases. The System Engineering Intern will have the opportunity to support the development and selection of key technologies for the Navy and will have the opportunity to work with complex software algorithms and cutting-edge digital signal processing hardware.Job Description
Required Skills:
- Currently enrolled as at least a Sophomore in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related engineering or scientific discipline, ideally with a GPA of 3.0 or more
- Ability to obtain a US Government security clearance. Security clearances are granted to U.S. citizens.
Desired Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and work ethic
- Experience within the systems engineering discipline
- Experience with Radar systems, other RF based systems, or similar signal processing systems
- Laboratory support skills including electronics test equipment usage and setup and use of Linux-based systems.
- Planning, reviewing, and executing integration and test events for combined hardware and software systems
- Documenting and specifying system and subsystem level requirements
- Working with a team to jointly develop a system during various phases of the development lifecycle.
- Matlab, Mathcad, or other Modeling Languages and/or Python
- Model Based Systems Engineering
