Dana Inc is seeking to fill a 2024 Fall Systems Engineering Co-Op position at their Novi Technical Center, located at 28001 Cabot Drive, Novi MI 48377. This is a great opportunity to develop your technical skills by working alongside Dana’s engineers in the completion of departmental oriented tasks/assignments.
Objective
You will be working with a system engineering group, collaborating with several engineering disciplines, including mechanical, design, hardware, software, and testing, with respect to working towards the client product development expectations. Your task is to work on the client’s requirements, developing and nurturing the architectures, test strategies identification, supporting planning, and tracking the development activities that exceed expectations regarding eAxle and electrified drivelines development. Your workplace will be very dynamic and fast-paced and will include many different tasks, with exposure to the vehicle development lifecycle, managing the program changes, cross-team and cross-discipline colorations, and attaining product maturity and associated criteria, right through commissioning prototypes.
You can expect to learn everything about the control strategies of electric vehicles and experience first-hand the integration and start-up of the systems.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Identification of participating Sub-systems
- Development of systems requirements
- Development of Architecture and boundary diagrams
- Create systems documentation.
- Systems planning and tracking for work products.
- Implementation and adherence of the industry standards
Requirements:
- Enrollment and active pursuit of a Bachelor of Science, Masters preferred
- Multicore software development or system design experience in automotive (preferred)
- Strong problem solving skills, including ability to identify and resolve issues and challenges
- Ability to program data acquisition systems and perform calculation on databases
- Strong interpersonal skills to work with people at all levels within and outside Dana in a professional manner
