As a Systems Engineer at Parsons, you will play a crucial role interacting with our customers to develop requirements for CUAS solutions and then developing, integrating and delivering those systems. This position requires a blend of creativity, technical expertise, a collaborative mindset and the ability to complete assignments with limited supervision. In-office candidates in the Northern Virginia / West Virginia area are preferred, but remote options are also available for well qualified self-starting candidates.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Meeting with our customers and potential customers including, DoW, DHS, DoS federal and local law enforcement as well as civilian agencies to determine their CUAS needs and help recommend CUAS system configurations optimized for their needs.
- Meeting with CUAS Sensor and Effector providers to quantify the performance of their systems.
- Supporting the integration of CUAS sensors, effectors, and other C2 / information sharing systems including Team Awareness Kit (TAK) with Parsons' DroneArmor CUAS C2 Software Product.
- Helping the team to define and prioritize and implement new features and capabilities in our DroneArmor C2 Software Product line based on customer feedback and strategic planning.
- Plan for and execute participation in various customer and internal marketing demonstrations, exercises and CUAS test events.
- Support the teams Training, Sustainment and Support activies for fielded systems.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's Degree or similar experience in an STEM field with specific, recent experience in Systems Engineering
- Junior - 2+ year of experience or 6+ years of experience in lieu of degree
- Journeyman – 5+ years of experience or 11+ years of experience in lieu of degree
- Senior – 8+ years of experience or 14+ years of experience in lieu of degree
- Lead – Masters and 10+ years of experience or 16+ years of experience in lieu of degree
- US citizenship is a requirement for position consideration
- Must have an active Secret security clearance or be eligible to obtain one.
- Proficiency in developing and implementing custom software algorithms and applications.
- Familiarity with implementing hardware and software interfaces based on Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and/or Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).
- Experience in designing, testing, debugging and documenting software.
- Ability to work locally full time or hybrid in our Summit Point, WV CUAS Integration and Test Facility (1 hour out side DC / Northern Virginia).
- Willingness to travel occasionally to customer sites
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently when required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
