Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Systems Engineer to join our team in supporting a large US Government program in the San Diego, CA.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Designs, develops, tests, debugs, and implements operating systems components, software tools and utilities. Determines systems software design requirements.
- Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency. Generates systems software engineering policies, standards, and procedures.
- Requires in-depth knowledge and experience.
- Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services.
- Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions.
- Works independently, receives minimal guidance.
- Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
Basic Qualifications:
- Three to seven (3-7) years of experience on C4ISR projects with considerable experience contributing to two or more of the following: IA Compliance; Software Assurance and Security Engineering; Systems Security Architecture; Systems Security Analysis; CND Analysis; Threat Analysis; Exploitation Analysis.
- Experience in assessing, analyzing, and providing recommendations for critical CS/IA capabilities to include CND, High Assurance, and ISSE covering naval GENSER NSS and DBS
- Experience with identification and documentation of attack vectors and prioritizing cyber technical risk; conducting threat and risk assessments and analyses; providing threat and risk reports and briefings developing Cybersecurity(CS)/Information Assurance (IA) standards; performing CS reviews during Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (SETR), Platform Technical Review Boards (PTRB) reviews, Engineering Change Request (ECR) reviews, and Ship Change Document (SCD) review;
- Performing CS testing and analysis to identify CS vulnerabilities on a broad range of National Security System (NSS) and Defense Business System (DBS) systems to include non-traditional IS, combat/weapon systems, shipboard aviation systems, HM&E, ICS/NCS, SCADA and special-purpose networks
- One (1) year experience is desired in defining standards, tools, and processes for IA TA, DFIA, and RMF. Extensive, highly relevant experience may be evaluated to replace the formal degree requirement.

Education/Certifications:
- BS degree + CISSP, CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP), and/or Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP) (and / or other advanced CS/IA security relevant certifications).
Clearance Requirements:
- US Citizen
- Active TS/SCI Security Clearance
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer
- The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
