Our Connected Aviation Solutions (CAS) group is thrilled to offer a Systems Engineer II role within our Air Traffic Solutions (ATS) team in Marlborough, MA. As part of the ATS team, you'll be instrumental in developing the next generation of the Standard Terminal Automation Replacement System (STARS) and supporting our existing fielded systems. What You Will Do:

• You will work on the cutting-edge STARS air traffic control system, the backbone of air traffic management in the United States.

• You will join a dynamic systems engineering team dedicated to modernizing the STARS system under an exciting new contract.

• You will drive innovation by developing creative solutions to customer challenges and crafting system and product-level requirements.

• You will play a key role in verifying these requirements by developing rigorous sell-off criteria, ensuring the highest standards of performance and safety.

• You will have a direct impact on modernizing air traffic control across the country

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of prior experience in systems engineering, including expertise in requirements decomposition, flow-down, and verification

• Must have prior experience generating and delivering technical documentation to stakeholders, including drafting, reviewing, and updating materials.

• Must have prior experience with IBM DOORS, Atlassian Jira, Confluence, and the Microsoft Office Suite.

• Education - Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience.

• U.S. citizenship is required - Only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under these programs/contracts.

• Must be willing to obtain FAA clearance: Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) clearance.  

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Prior experience with programming skills in C++ and/or Java/J2EE, scripting languages like Python, or modeling tools such as MATLAB.

• Prior experience supporting a US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) government contract.

• Prior experience with Agile Development Processes.

• Prior experience with Red Hat Linux 9.x. - Prior experience with integration and test best practices.
