Project/Unit Description
Candidate will design, build, and maintain the CHART database using appropriate database management software. The database architecture must support the tracking of fielding plans, funding, and other relevant data across multiple Navy programs and commands. Candidate will perform regular updates to the database to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency. In addition, Candidate will implement automated processes for data entry, report generation, and updating of relevant records within the database.
Job Purpose
The Systems Engineer oversees and coordinates the work of technical teams on systems projects, ensuring the successful design, implementation, operation, and technical management of those projects. Taking a holistic approach to systems engineering, the Systems Engineer ensures that all aspects of a system project are considered and addressed. The Systems Engineer works closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and then develops and documents technical requirements that meet those needs. The Systems Engineer leads the design team in developing a system architecture that meets all of the requirements. After the system is designed, the Systems Engineer oversees the implementation of the system, working with the implementation team to ensure that it meets all of the requirements. Once the system is deployed, the Systems Engineer manages the technical aspects of the system, including monitoring performance, troubleshooting problems, and making improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Create product or system definitions and conduct initial requirements analysis
Contribute to technical reports and diagrams detailing product or system attributes
Analyze product or system functionality as defined by requirements - Interface with and begin to work with disparate engineering teams for technical tasking
Additional Responsibilities
Candidate will work closely with the CHART Program Coordinator, TYCOMs and other stakeholders, internal and external to CNSP, to collect and integrate data into the database. GTRI is responsible for ensuring that data is collected and updated as specified by program requirements to reflect any updates to fielding and funding plans. Candidate will also integrate data from other systems or sources as needed to ensure that all relevant information is accurately captured and accessible.
