As a System and Instrumentation (S&I) Field Engineer you will provide direction and assistance to work groups to meet assigned objectives. In this role you will work within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.

As a System and Instrumentation (S&I) Field Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Installing and configuring Bently Nevada Hardware and Software required for protecting and monitoring variety of machine types
  • Responding to requests for emergency repairs and services to troublesome equipment
  • Providing technical instruction and assistance to customer representatives regarding installation, operation, calibration, repair and maintenance at customer's sites
  • Writing technical reports, ordering materials, securing quotations, preparing job status reports, reports to customers, time and expense sheets
  • Preparing internal and external training programs to perpetuate field engineering and product knowledge in area of specialization

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will require:

  • Have Bachelor of Engineering degree from an accredited college or university (Electronics, Chemical, Instrumentation, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering) or equivalent Instrumentation and/or process control experience.
  • Have relevant experience working in Energy and/or Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals instrumentation and/or process control.
  • Have knowledge on Electronics or Mechanical troubleshooting skills, knowledge of Hardware, Modbus, OPC, Networking and serial communications protocols.
  • Have a passport (or able obtain one) and hold valid driver’s license.
  • This job requires a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card eligibility and approval.

  • Occasionally working remotely from home or any other work location, when not on customer's sites.
  • Be ready to spend up to 80% of working time traveling on jobs as required by business weekends when needed.
  • You will be paid for travel time as well as overtime if more than 8 hours are worked a day. Travel costs will also be paid.

The annual pay scale for this position is between $60,200.00 - $111,600.00.
