ABOUT THE JOB

We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineering and Embedded Systems Technical Program Manager to lead cross-functional (XFN) teams in the development and delivery of innovative RFID technologies. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise in hardware, embedded systems, systems engineering, and RF/wireless with strong program management skills to drive successful technology development, integration, and launch.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead various technology initiatives involving HW-SW interaction 
  • Generate project charters, align stakeholder expectations, provide regular reporting, and develop convergence plans to hardware platforms
  • Implement/optimize new technology introduction (NTI) process and strike the right balance between maintaining momentum and ensuring accountability and scalability
  • Leadership throughout the entire product lifecycle, including requirements gathering/management, architectural design reviews and tradeoffs, proof of concept (POC)/proof of experience (POE) builds/demos, prototyping, and verification and validation (V&V), and post launch firmware/OTA updates
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets for NTI projects and programs. Able to quickly context switch and evaluate progress and present to leadership at both the high level 10k foot view, as well as detailed micro view for critical activities, where needed
  • Drive/support product validation through rigorous hardware builds, including POC, Proto, EVT, and DVT phases ensuring product and program KPIs are met with clear exit criteria 
  • Facilitate effective communication Sys Eng, RF Systems, Embedded Systems, Electrical Engineering, and Hardware Ops
  • Identify, mitigate, and escalate (when appropriate) technical and program issues and risks
  • Manage potential vendor and partner relationships
  • Present regular status updates to XFN leaders and stakeholders internally and externally

ABOUT YOU

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field
  • 3+ years of experience in embedded systems program management
  • 2+ years of experience as an engineer
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing the complete product development process, preferably in consumer electronics
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing the complete software product development (“V”) process  
  • Experience with test plan development and execution for each validation phase
  • Experience with test plan development and execution for various levels of SW-HW validation
  • Proficient with project management tools including Smartsheet, Jira and methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, etc.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to navigate technical and organizational challenges in a start-up environment

Preferred:

  • Familiarity/experience with RFID, antennas, and wireless technologies
  • Familiarity with electronics manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements 
  • Contribute to code reviews and releases
  • Familiarity with requirements tracking software
  • Project management training/certification

At RADAR, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. The expected base salary range for this position is $100,000.00 - $180,000.00. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors,  including job-related skills, experience and relevant education or training.You will also be eligible to receive other benefits including: equity, comprehensive medical and dental coverage, life and disability benefits, 401k plan,
