Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a skilled and motivated Systems Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing Microsoft 365 (M365), cloud platforms, Exchange, Active Directory, and Windows Server 2016/2019. This role involves working as part of a Network Operations Center (NOC) environment, providing critical support and monitoring services on a shift basis.
Day to Day Work Responsibilities:
- Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network engineers.
- Monitors and manages system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, and response times to maintain operating efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to M365, cloud services, Exchange, Active Directory, and Windows Server 2016/2019 environments.
- Perform routine maintenance and updates on servers and other critical systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and support IT initiatives.
- Maintain and update system documentation and logs.
- Provide timely and efficient incident response and resolution in a 24/7 environment.
- Follows procedures to validate, troubleshoot, and escalate issues.
Qualifications
- 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; or 9 years with a HS Diploma
- Active Secret Clearance.
- Security+ Certification.
- Proven experience in system administration, with a strong background in M365, cloud platforms, Exchange, Active Directory, and Windows Server 2016/2019.
- Solid understanding of network protocols, security principles, and best practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional certifications in cloud technologies or network administration.
- Experience working in a NOC or similar environment.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and frameworks.

Target Salary Range
