Project Overview:

Port Arthur LNG, LLC (PALNG) is developing a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) production and export facility on a site located on the western shoreline of the Port Arthur Canal in Jeferson County, Texas. The project base scope will include two (2) identical LNG trains, two (2) LNG Storage Tanks, one (1) LNG Carrier Berth, and associated utilities/facilities. The Project is to be constructed on a parcel of land located along State Highway 87 south of Port Arthur, Texas, between the inner coastal waterway bridge and Keith Lake. The Infrastructure Global Business Unit (GBU) is executing site civil and marine scopes of work associated with our scopes of work on the Energy GBU LNG projects.

Job Summary:

Surveyor provides support as required to the construction team reporting directly to the Project Lead Surveyor. Supervise and/or direct activities relating to construction engineering, layout of foundation locations, equipment locations, structural steel placement, subcontracts, and engineering liaison with the design functional group. Use design drawings, model and specifications to determine associated commodities locations. Works with Field Engineering to support field verification of materials as appropriate and needed. Provides technical support as related to survey to Field Engineering and Superintendents in a wide range of situation and configurations. Multi-Disciplined Field Engineering responsibilities with earthwork, excavation, concrete, structural steel, marine works, etc. installation activities. #LI-TH1 

Major Responsibilities:

• Lead the oversight of the survey operations and provides technical direction to the direct-hire survey team in his/her area.
• Support the survey team’s implementation of the project safety, quality, and environmental programs.
• Responsible for the accurate layout of construction work, recordation of field data according to job specifications and appropriate methods of performing survey activities.
• Provide Construction Survey support to both Field Engineering and Field Supervision.
• Establish and/or verify and maintain the project’s survey control network.
• Perform verifications of subcontract survey control points and work Perform and/or supervise the preparation of survey CAD drawings, including generation of Digital Terrain Models (DTM) and volumes computations.
