About the role

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

  •  Has knowledge of all slot/game’s procedures and Title 31 of Virginia State Gaming Commission.  
  • Ensures all surveillance equipment is operating at start of shift, during shift and completion of shift.  
  • Maintains all logs and ensures the accuracy of log entries.  
  • Maintains confidentiality of all Hotel/Casino information.  
  • Reports all incidents observed on shift to the Director of Surveillance, Surveillance Manager, or on-shift Surveillance Supervisor  
  • Communicates incidents to pit personnel by phone.  
  • Endorses the business objectives, ethics, and values of Caesars’s Entertainment Inc.  
  • Operates a closed-circuit television (CCTV) system to monitors casino activities and prepares reports and logs.  
  • Assist with training of new employees.  

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:    

  •  One year of games surveillance experience is preferred.   
  • Prior experience in a security, casino, or surveillance-related field preferred. 
  • Neat, professional appearance with good personal hygiene.  
  • Friendly, outgoing personality.  
  • Must be 21 years of age.  
  • Ability to interface effectively with the public and co-workers.  
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Some college preferred.  
  • Be able to satisfactorily complete a 90-day surveillance training program. 
  • Knowledge of all Casino/Hotel operations is preferred. 
  • Strong communication skills are required, both verbal and written. 

 

 PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:  

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on an “as needed” basis.  
  • Must be able to work in a very fast-paced environment.  
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.   
  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke.   
  • Ability to maintain regular, predictable attendance according to schedule.  
  • Must be able to handle large amounts of information and take the best action necessary to correct the situation.   
  • Requires all forms of dexterity and mobility throughout all shifts.   
  • Use of office equipment and computers.  
  • Ongoing games protection training.  
  • Must be able to interact with other departments, law enforcement, and court personnel.  
  • Must be able to obtain and possess a VA Gaming License from the VA Lottery.
