Job Summary

Dominion Energy is currently seeking a Supervisor of Engineering – Digital/I&C Safety Related Platform Engineering in the Subsequent License Renewal (SLR) Project organization supporting Surry and North Anna Power Stations. The position will be located at Innsbrook Technical Center but support activities at both power stations.  This position will lead the group by supervising a designated group of engineers.  This position will report to the Manager – Nuclear Digital Projects SLR located at Innsbrook Technical Center. 

The selected candidate will provide leadership and direction to the Digital/I&C Safety-Related Platform Engineering group that will support extending the operating life of Surry and North Anna Power Stations for safe, cost effective and efficient nuclear power station operations. This position will be responsible for overseeing the major Digital I&C modernization at Surry and North Anna, including the Safety-Related systems and controls.  This includes upgrading the control room from analog to digital controls.

In addition, the selected candidate will be responsible for the following tasks: 

•    Utilizing the SLR selected Safety Platform hardware and associated network and field devices, enforce standardization in implementation, and planning for Digital upgrades at Surry, North Anna, and other facilities as directed by Management 
•   Utilizing the SLR selected Safety Platform software, supporting software, to include Cyber Security software, enforce standardization in design, development and maintenance, of cyber security programs, graphic displays, alarming functions and control logic diagrams at Surry, North Anna, and other facilities as directed by Management
•    Utilizing the approved human factors engineering (HFE) procedures, ensure compliance to HFE requirements for all SLR associated digital designs. 
•    Provide direction and support standardization of engineering procedures for the Dominion SLR digital program and eventually for the fleet. 
•    Enforce EOC and Vendor Safety Platform design standardization between the stations. Some variations in designs may occur due to station differences. 
•    Provide support during the development and submittal of SLR Digital licensing submittals.
•    Provide support and direction to the SLR digital project manager supervisors to ensure project scope, schedules and budgets meet SLR project procedure requirements. 
•    Provide support to SLR Digital Non-Safety Related Platform engineering supervisor to ensure common approaches and designs across Surry and North Anna
•    Coordinate all technical Safety Platform design aspects for all SLR Digital/I&C projects requiring site and/or corporate support to include selected Engineering firms and equipment vendors 
•    Coordinate quality Owner’s acceptance reviews (Engineering Changes, Procurement Specs and studies) with vendors and/or corporate/station resources 
•    Provide oversight of project activities to identify needed corrective actions pertaining to SLR projects
•    Direct Supervision for the Digital engineers for work quality and performance management
•   Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

The knowledge, skills, abilities and education required for entry into this job include the following:

•    Minimum of 7+ years of engineering experience of which 2+ years shall be nuclear plant/nuclear systems experience (commercial, military, shipyard) and a bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering OR
•    Minimum of 10+ years of engineering experience of which 2+ years shall be nuclear plant/nuclear systems experience (commercial, military, shipyard) with a SRO license or certification or STA.   
•    Demonstrated/proven experience in a lea
