Position Overview

Under direction of the Business Manager, serves as a designated lead worker to lower-level staff. Provides physical support duties in maintaining a clean, sanitary, safe, physical environment by directly participating and/or directing housekeeping functions of wet and dry mopping, waxing and buffing unit floors, dusting, scrubbing bathrooms and shower rooms, cleaning and disinfecting furniture, cleaning wardrobes, washing drapes, and removing trash. Assists in on-the-job training of new employees, which involves cleaning living units, dining rooms, offices, and laundry. Inspects facilities for cleanliness, sanitation, repairs, etc. Prepares reports such as supply inventories, requisitions, etc. and monitors storage, supplies and equipment usage. Assists the Business Manager in the review and updating of housekeeping and laundry policies and procedures for the facility.
