About the role

Paradigm is looking for a Supply Demand Planner to support our client, a multinational information technology. In this role, your primary responsibility is to manage the assurance of supply for a specific family or families of SKUs. This includes making sure that supplies are ordered and received in a timely manner, that proper levels of inventory are kept, that forecasts are analyzed, that inventory dollar limits are not exceeded, and that stock transfers between regions are monitored.

Type: Full time, 12-Month Contract
Location: Corvallis, OR / San Diego, CA

Responsibilities of the Supply Demand Planner:

Supply vs Demand Planning

  • Create build/purchase plan - receipt plan that supports backlog, shipment forecasts, and inventory objectives. Provide a monthly/weekly picture of demand based on regional sales forecasts (Plan of Record [POR] and Dashboard publication/update).
  • Review monthly Regional forecasts with the 3 regions. Proof forecast for issues before use in planning process and question/request corrections as needed to the forecast owners.
  • Communicate Plans - VRF (Vendor Receipt Forecast)/Build/Purchase Plans to Manufacturing Partners (MPa’s/Suppliers) and follow up on their acknowledgement/confirmation.
  • Transshipment within regional distribution centers - arrange transshipment between Regions to balance inventory and support sales orders WW.

Availability Confirmation

  • Update backlog (open orders) status and view week to week backlog for review at planning meeting.
  • Confirm Availability/Sales Order Backlog to regional Program Managers and Order Coordinators.
  • Escalate potential/actual availability issues to Enablers Program Manager & Planning Lead in case of significant supply/demand changes or disruptions.

Materials/Procurement Follow- Up

  • Request/Trigger Purchase orders from the procurement teams to match the purchase plan with suppliers. Confirm Supplier delivery dates matching PO details.
  • Follow up PO cycle to ensure completion without issues:
    1. Periodic Status review with suppliers for on time delivery. Track progress of Purchase Orders.
    2. Shipment tracking all the way to distribution center.
    3. Delivery/Billing consistency to ensure receipts (GRs) and Invoices (IR-Ls) don’t have quantity or pricing issues. Work with Supplier, distribution centers, Procurement and Accounts Payable to solve any billing and payment discrepancies

Requirements

Our skills and experience wish list includes:

  • High level of understanding of Microsoft Excel (formulas, graphs, pivot tables, conditional formatting) and Microsoft PowerPoint

Preferred Experience in:

  • Planning (supply vs demand matching)
  • Forecast use
  • Other supply chain areas (logistics, procurement, etc.)
  • Reporting and data management

In compliance with California's Pay Transparency Law, the minimum hourly for this role is $25/hr + benefits. The maximum compensation for this role can vary significantly depending on your job-related skills and experience. Paradigm considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education and training, core skills, internal equity, and market and business elements when extending an offer.
