About the Role

The Supply Chain / Warehouse Manager will initially join the core project team responsible for the new Florence, SC plant launch. This role will be responsible for helping to develop the process standards and related training for establishing the warehouse.   After the production launch, the main function of the position will be transitioned to managing the operations supporting lithium-ion battery production by leading a team of logistics associates and material handlers in a manner that facilitates the strategic use of company resources. This position will have oversight of dock operations, trailer lot audits, systematic material movements, shipment of customer orders, receipt of incoming trailers and tracking/ordering packaging material needed to support customer shipments. This role will be involved in arranging logistics and creating shipping paperwork for customer orders, component part returnable containers, and any other items that need to be shipped from the facility.

What You Will Do

  • Establishing a warehouse and strategy to ensure optimum product flow and storage of materials.
  • Ensuring safety is always the number one priority: promoting a safe work environment and safety-oriented culture by following all safety programs and guidelines.
  • Managing departmental budgeting, planning, and approval processes; tracking actual spending to budget.
  • Managing all shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Managing inventory levels; ensuring production availability, adherence to budget, and reporting accuracy.
  • Monitoring, analyzing, and making improvements based on daily tracked Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Maintaining a favorable working relationship with all employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious work environment; managers the warehouse and logistics team to solve operational issues, along with developing strategies for reaching long-term goals.
  • Oversees staff in the systematic and manual processing of component and finished good material movements/warehousing, transition of components from the warehouse to the production floor, auditing/management of the trailer yard, arrangement of logistics for empty container returns, customer orders (domestic & foreign), dunnage, etc.
  • Maintains compliance with 5S, IATF16949, VDA 6.3, and ISO14001, 15 CFR Part 400 and 19 CFR standards, while proactively identifying and addressing safety concerns to prevent accidents.
