Job Description
General Radar is currently hiring an experienced Supply Chain Manager.
The Supply Chain Manager provides for all aspects of inventory management, including generating Bill of Materials, facilitating procurement and purchasing, establishing inventory storage and part numbering systems, overseeing inventory consumption, and forecasting supply chain requirements to meet lead time and usage. Additionally, you will control associated engineering data for procured components, organizing drawings, datasheets, and other documentation into a parts management system.
In this position, you will play an essential role in the successful operation of a new manufacturing line. Creative solutions will have direct impact in day-to-day execution across multiple teams, and there is opportunity to grow a team as manufacturing capacity scales.
The Supply Chain Manager will report directly to the CFO and coordinate regularly with the General Radar engineering organization. You will work with the manufacturing and hardware teams to support the full-scale production of General Radar’s AESA Radar products.
The role requires working on a fast-paced development program. The candidate must be solution oriented, positive, and proactive, and someone who relentlessly finds ways to succeed and improve.
This position will be on-site, with the preference for the candidate to be located in the Dallas, TX area.
Qualifications
- US Citizen
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
- 3+ years of experience in inventory management, engineering documentation management, and or configuration management
- Proficient in NetSuite, Excel, Word, & Purchase Order Generation
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as NetSuite
- Familiar with major sellers of Electronics, Hardware, and comfortable interfacing with Contract Manufacturers and Machine Shops
- Familiar with PCB board manufacture, PCB parts inventories, and processes
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with engineering drawing and documentation software
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to be on site to receive and track parts
- Familiar with ISO QMS standards and engineering drawings/documents
- Familiar with Barcode systems, preference to Zebra
- Experience building company policies and procedures and implementing to multiple teams and divisions
Additional Information
Primary Responsibilities
- Collate BOMs, identify sub-assembly and assembly level components, facilitate part numbering and lifecycle management of consumed parts and fixed assets
- Work with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to source components from vendors, resellers, and distributors for ICs, manufactured boards, COTS items, fasteners, etc.
- Manage sub-contractors and major vendors
- Track lead times and manufacturing schedule to ensure successful work orders
- Negotiate beneficial terms and conditions with vendors
- Work with the CFO and Controller to keep NetSuite IMS and FAM current and financial forecasts accurate
- Manage the parts library, including identifying new parts and materials, updating part information, and ensuring that all parts are accurately tracked in our system
- Contribute to Quality Management System controls, including traceability, inspection and lifecycle reports and documentation releases
- Manage day-to-day operations in our NetSuite system, including managing item records, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring that all required data is accurately entered and tracked
- Track parts obsolescence, identifying parts that are no longer available and developing plans to address these issues
- Manage spec sheets, ensuring that all required information is properly documented and tracked
- Track system trouble reports and corrective actions, working with engineering and quality teams to identify and resolve issues as quickly as possible
