Intel is seeking a dynamic Supply Chain Engineer to drive innovation and excellence in supply chain and logistics strategy. In this role, you will have an instrumental impact on Intel's future technology by developing methodologies that enhance supply chain capabilities and ensure operational readiness. By collaborating with cross-functional teams and suppliers, you will play a critical part in improving product quality, reliability, and efficiency while advancing Intel's roadmap and addressing market demands. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Define and implement material inspection methodologies to ensure quality and reliability.
  • Conduct cost control and process optimization studies to improve production yield and efficiency.
  • Explore and benchmark emerging technologies to elevate Intel's supply chain capabilities.
  • Track supply and demand trends, analyze root causes, and recommend solutions for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with supply chain leads to implement programs that enhance quality and streamline operations.
  • Lead supplier selection processes for new business opportunities in partnership with commodity managers and technical/quality teams.
  • Perform alternate sourcing risk mitigation activities for single-sourced commodities.
  • Develop control standards and KPIs, monitor performance, and drive solutions for supply chain issues.
  • Drive supplier process validation activities through all stages of development.
  • Lead supplier quality improvement initiatives focusing on reliability, yield, cost, and performance.
  • Manage quality excursion processes and failure mode analysis with suppliers.

Qualifications:

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Experience may be obtained through coursework, academic projects, research, or relevant internship experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field.

Experience:

6+ years of relevant experience with one or more of the following: 

  • Supply chain engineering or supplier management. 
  • Metrology and inspection experience
  • Strong technical expertise in driving supplier accountability, developing quality standards, and process improvements.
  • Proficiency in root cause analysis, structural problem solving, and supply chain performance indicator tracking.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PhD in a related technical field.
  • Prior experience managing suppliers and driving technology development partnerships.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity and deliver impactful solutions.
  • Comprehensive understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and advanced packaging technologies.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders, and drive successful outcomes.
  • A commitment to fostering collaboration and building diverse, inclusive teams.
  • Intel factory operations or support group work.
  • Semiconductor processes, FMEA, SPC, PCSA, or 8D problem-solving methodologies.
