Our “Roof & Components (RC)” business unit develops and produces roof systems for every type of vehicle and autonomous driving. To achieve this, we rely on the most modern technologies and materials. - Full-time colleague who has successfully completed 180 days of employment with excellent attendance and timeliness
- Must be in good standing with the company
- Some college courses and/or previous training in supply chain / logistics preferred
- Excellent verbal, written, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills required
- Strong team player with the ability to get along well with others
- Computer literate: Must have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills required
- Basic understanding of WPS / Lean Manufacturing principles
- Willingness to take external classes and/or training, as assigned
- Flexible hours required
- Must pass basic skills testing
RESPONSIBILITIES / EXPECTATIONS:
This role focuses on rotating through each area of our supply chain. During the program you will have the opportunity to experience each segment within the day-to-day operations from inbound to outbound. Some of these areas may include but are not limited to Receiving, Scheduling, Supplier Logistics, Shipping, Inventory Control, and Warehouse Management.
- Performance evaluations completed by the functional mentor(s) and Supply Chain Manager, at minimum of every 3 months during the program. Acceptable performance ratings are required to continue the program.
- Work independently to complete assigned improvement projects during each rotation.
- Job shadow various positions within supply chain, with measurable tasks assigned to each.
- Gain knowledge of process functions through cross departmental communication. Create recommendations for improving accuracy and reliability of the processes.
- Work and coordinate with others to complete assignments.
- Learn WPS standards and how to apply the principles of lean manufacturing to operations.
- Learn and demonstrate understanding of customer requirements and systems.
