With a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction, we are seeking a dedicated and expert professional to join our team as the Supplier Quality Engineering Manager of our Aiken, SC facility.
The Supplier Quality Engineering Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing the performance of supplier quality engineering activities to ensure that the company's products meet all required standards and specifications. This role involves the development, implementation, and maintenance of supplier quality assurance and control systems to ensure continuous improvement and compliance with industry standards. Leads and directs activities related to qualification, development and maintenance of Discrete Automation Suppliers. Challenge, support, mentor and guide the supply base with Lean and Six Sigma practices to eliminate waste and improve supplier processes to remove variation and reduce non-conformances.

IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:
- Supplier Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Conduct regular supplier audits and assessments to supervise performance and compliance.
- Work collaboratively with suppliers to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
- Quality System Management:
- Develop and implement supplier quality assurance policies and procedures.
- Ensure suppliers adhere to the company's quality management system (QMS) and industry standards (e.g., ISO, AS9100).
- Supervise and report on supplier key performance indicators (critical metrics).
- New Supplier Qualification:
- Manage the supplier qualification process, including initial assessments and approval.
- Evaluate potential new suppliers for capability and reliability.
- Coordinate supplier onboarding and training programs.
- Problem Resolution:
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes for supplier-related non-conformances.
- Implement effective problem-solving techniques to address supplier quality issues.
- Track and trend supplier performance data to identify areas for improvement.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Lead initiatives to drive continuous improvement in supplier quality.
- Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and other quality improvement methodologies.
- Implement standard methodologies and innovative solutions to enhance supplier performance.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with multi-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and manufacturing, to resolve quality issues.
- Communicate effectively with internal collaborators and suppliers to ensure alignment on quality expectations and requirements.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to supplier quality activities.
- Prepare and present regular reports on supplier quality performance to senior management.

FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality Management, or a related field
- Relevant years of experience in supplier quality engineering, and management experience commensurate with the level of this position.
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Consistent track record of successfully running supplier quality programs and leading teams.
- Solid understanding of quality management systems and standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to effectively lead numerous projects and priorities.
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future. Sponsorship will not be provided.
