About the role

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Conducts and maintains the Supplier Quality System and Part-specific Process Audits.
  2. Maintains records of New and Updated PPAP Approvals, supplier corrective actions (8-D, 5-Why, Drill Deep and Wide).
  3. Issues and Monitors Supplier Material Complaints.
  4. Issues and monitors supplier charge-backs.
  5. Performs supplier Quality and Delivery performance rating.
  6. Works closely with the following groups/departments: Product Development Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Quality and Suppliers.
  7. Performs actions toward Supplier Improvement / Enhancements (Capability studies, Gage R&R, Supplier Action Requests), and New Product Support (Process Validation, APQP, Supplier PPAP, New Supplier Qualification (Supplier Audits). 
  8. Attend necessary training classes or seminars as directed by Management.
  9. Knowledge and practice of Hutchinson AV's Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, procedures and requirements.
  10. Any other duties as directed by the Department Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of an Associates Degree, or minimum 5 years applicable Supplier Quality experience's Certifications( Quality Engineer) (Quality Technician)  are favorable
  • Strong Quality Systems background
  • Background in Automotive AIAG Procedures to include APQP, MSA,PFMEA, SPC , etc
  • GD & T Knowledge
  • Ability to interface with Suppliers, Customers, Paulstra Sales, Engineering, Production Control & Manufacturing
  • Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and Statistical Software
  • Must be a self-starter, organized and dedicated, with good record keeping skills. Must be able to cope with and work efficiently with restrictive time frames and unpredictable situations.

EDUCATION &/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of an Associates Degree, or minimum 5 years applicable Supplier Quality experience's Certifications( Quality Engineer) (Quality Technician)  are favorable.
