Innovation.Behind the scenes at every successful business is the Human Resources team that provides support and guidance to its employees. As part of the HR team, this position will support the hotel operations and management team in a variety of clerical tasks, daily accounting, and reconciliation & employee housing housekeeping & activities. A keen eye for detail while providing excellent customer service to fellow employees is a must for this position.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Complete daily cash vault duties including the resetting of banks, making change, counting daily sales and tracking daily cash process in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Assist with employee relations functions including planning, marketing and organizing of events
- Maintain supplies and general cleaning standards in employee housing common areas
- Maintain and update employee communication and activity boards
- General clerical duties (posters and marketing pieces, signs, etc)
- Scheduling and providing regular employee shuttles to Anchorage/Soldotna
- Processing of vending machines in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Organize, inventory, and maintain office and supplies for hotel operations
- Communicate with multi-levels of leadership for operational updates and events
REQUIREMENTS
- One year of experience in positions involving clerical, bookkeeping or accounting preferred or RA experience.
- Must pass a pre-employment background check.
- Minimum age of 18 years is required to reside in company housing, where available.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States. Holland America-Princess is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-2B status).
- Proficiency in computer based programs (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences.
- Ability to communicate clearly in person and over the phone.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while achieving daily goals.
- Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures, and guidelines including support and comply with company health and safety standards.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs/11kgs. Some heavy lifting may be required daily but may be performed with a team member. Some bending, squatting and kneeling required
- Will require walking and standing for periods of time
