Summary
The Supervisor, Facilities Maintenance provides leadership to Operations and Maintenance Project Leaders and their teams to ensure focus on the group's objectives. Serves as communications liaison among other leaders, other groups and own group. Acts as the technical consultant to teams/groups, as requested.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma/GED plus seven (7) years' experience in the design, engineering, construction, operations, and/or maintenance of transmission and distribution electrical facilities.
- OR seven (7) years' equivalent combination of education and experience in the design, engineering, construction, operations, and/or maintenance of transmission and distribution electrical facilities, power plants or related energy or construction industries.
- In lieu of Bachelor's degree, an equivalent combination of seven (7) years education and working experience in design, engineering, construction, operations, and/or maintenance of transmission and distribution electrical facilities, power plants or related energy or construction industries.
- Must live within the assigned geographic area with the ability to commute to work sites of service area and ability/availability to oversee emergent work during nights and weekends.
Preferred Special Skill, Knowledge or Qualifications:
Demonstrated leadership qualities and effective interpersonal skills. Broad and in-depth knowledge of utility operations, construction, safety standards, IBEW contract and local/state/federal regulations. Excellent project management, business planning, and negotiating skills.

1) Provide effective leadership to group and teams enabling group success and maximizing individual contribution. Provide resolution of employee issues within the group.
2) Communicate the overall direction and performance expectations; provide ongoing feedback to team members; coach and counsel team members; provide technical expertise as needed.
3) Involve, inform and support others and treat them as partners committed to the same goals and targets.
4) Manage internal and external customer expectations up front and meet or exceed all reasonable or agreed upon customer service levels.
5) Encourage and support responsible risk taking in support of the strategic plan.
