Summary

The Supervisor of Construction Services  provides supervisory leadership for project management teams delivering customer-driven transmission projects in support of data centers and large commercial developers within the Major Customer Projects (MCP) portfolio. Oversees, coaches, and supports project managers to ensure projects are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with contractual requirements and customer expectations. Coordinates design, construction, inspection, safety, and field activities while fostering effective cross-functional collaboration to drive efficient, cost-effective project delivery. Serves as a key point of escalation for complex project and customer issues, ensuring consistent communication, risk management, and a high-quality experience for high-profile customers. 

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field plus of four (4) years experience in project management, design, Transmission & Distribution portfolio management, or construction/maintenance.
  • In lieu of bachelors degree, combination of college coursework and experience in project management, design, or construction/maintenance totaling eight (8) years.

    Preferred Special Skills, Knowledge or Qualifications:
  • Experience within an electric utility transmission organization, preferably supporting large, customer-driven projects
  • Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, or providing oversight to the project management team or cross-functional teams
  • Strong customer engagement and relationship management skills, particularly with data center and large commercial customers
  • Solid understanding of budget development, forecasting, accruals, and cost tracking for capital projects
  • Working knowledge of customer contracts, including Schedule 3 service agreements, and how contractual commitments impact project scope, schedule, and risk
  • Working knowledge of contract administration, change management, and project controls
  • Familiarity with APS systems such as, CC&B, Maximo, EPMS, and standard Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Major Accountabilities

  1. Supervise and support project management team responsible for customer-driven MCP transmission projects, ensuring alignment to scope, schedule, budget, and customer commitments.
  2. Provide leadership in developing and managing integrated work plans and schedules, including design progression, material requirements, and outage coordination.
  3. Ensure coordinated execution among transmission engineering, construction, IT/P&C, operations, and external contractors.
  4. Ensure compliance with contractual provisions, cost parameters, quality control programs, and transmission construction standards.
  5. Oversee safety performance and ensure compliance with all provisions of the Accident Prevention Manual.
  6. Serve as an escalation point for project, contract, and customer issues, negotiating equitable resolutions as needed.
  7. Support accurate budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking across the MCP transmission portfolio.
  8. Promote clear communication, accountability, and proactive risk identification to improve schedule reliability and customer outcomes.
  9. Lead, coach, and develop project management team to ensure strong individual performance, team effectiveness, and consistent delivery of a positive customer experience.
