About the Role

The Superintendent - Construction will work closely with the Project Team to develop and maintain the Baseline Construction Schedule. This role involves coordinating and overseeing onsite work of all Trade Partners, managing Union-related labor relations, and ensuring construction quality meets or exceeds company standards. The Superintendent will also function as a liaison between the Project Management Team and onsite field operations, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes and contract requirements.

Construction Scheduling and Coordination

• Develop and maintain schedules, review progress, and update weekly.

Onsite Management and Labor Relations

• Oversee onsite work, manage labor relations, and mentor the team.

Quality Assurance and Compliance

• Ensure construction quality and compliance with standards and codes.

Site Logistics and Safety

• Prepare logistics plans, ensure safety training, and enforce safety policies.

Documentation and Financials

• Maintain construction documents, review contracts, and approve logs.

Communication and Meetings

• Liaise between teams and facilitate meetings.

Training and Compliance

• Complete required training and comply with regulations.

What You'll Need

Education and Certifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• OSHA 30-hour certification required.
• Local and/or State certification required, as needed.
• CPR/First Aid certification required.

Experience

• 3-5 years of Superintendent construction experience required.
• Proven experience in managing onsite construction activities and labor relations.
• Multi-family construction experience preferred.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Advanced knowledge and understanding of construction documents, drawings and specifications, construction means, methods and materials.
• Advanced computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, Bluebeam. Proficiency in construction management software such as Procore.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills combined with excellent attention to detail and effective verbal and written communication.
