We are on a journey of continuous growth – now looking for our next star – a passionate Superintendent - Assembly Maintenance
This role, you will be involved in ensuring coordination of department efforts to achieve maximum productivity and efficiency in meeting production volume and quality standards. Reports directly to the Maintenance Manager.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Directly manages and supervises assigned Maintenance Leads and Technicians, including but not limited to their annual performance reviews, monitoring of goals, developmental plans and setting competencies in company performance management system.
- Provide leadership to Maintenance Leads to achieve all goals including safety, quality, schedule attainment, equipment reliability, and uptime.
- Perform duties in absence of the manager.
- Supports department to assist with their efficiency and productivity levels to meet company objectives.
- Develops workforce requirements necessary to complete the production schedule.
- Works in concert with Engineering to meet their goals or improvements for the department.
- Coordinates and communicates production priorities and machine availability plans with other Manufacturing Managers and appropriate departments.
- Define and drive standardized operating procedures (SOPs) throughout the department.
- Works with supervisors and HR/Safety/Quality in the preparation of instructions and training of associates on safety, skills and quality.
- Works with Maintenance Department to coordinate repair and maintenance in accordance with production requirements.
- Works with New product development in the success of new products that are going to be processed in the plant.
- Supports productivity projects.
- Implement, maintain and enforce 5S discipline throughout the Maintenance and Production departments.
- Initiates, implements, and encourages the use of lean manufacturing tools in areas supervised.
- Ensures satisfactory quality and timely repairs of work for assigned departments.
- Communicates effectively with subordinates, peers and senior management.
- Ensures fair and equitable treatment of all associates under his/her supervision.
- Ensures that all associates comply with policies and regulations according to safety, OSHA and any applicable Company policies and procedures.
- Develops strong Preventative Maintenance Plan for the equipment and department.
- Expected to work alongside technicians for troubleshooting and training, along with completing work orders if required to help reduce downtime.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications
A suitable background would be a solid experience within the following qualifications and experiences:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum five (5) years of production experience in manufacturing.
- Minimum five (5) years of industrial maintenance experience.
- Experience in injection molding or plastics manufacturing processes.
- Technical experience operating injection molding equipment such as IMPCO B-30, Sterling, Graham, Hartig, Cincinnati, Beckum, Van Dorn, Engel, Krauss Maffei, or Toyo machines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
