Minnkota Power is seeking qualified candidates for temporary summer positions located at the Milton R. Young Station located near Center, ND. The Milton R. Young Station is a two-unit coal-fired power plant, providing a stable energy source for our cooperative member-owners. The station is located 35 miles from Bismarck, North Dakota, a growing and progressive city with many recreational opportunities.
Wage is $19.00 per hour & $21.50 per hour for returning employees.
Plant Operations (2 positions)
- Assist in cleaning tripper room and floor trenches
- Garbage collection
- Plant site cleanup
- General painting duties of various items
- Sweep/wash floors
- Other tasks as required
Plant Operations - Coal Handling (2 positions)
- Mow and trim grass around the plant site and designated lake areas
- Garbage pickup around the lake
- Vehicle cleaning
- Painting miscellaneous equipment such as fire hydrants, post indicators and handrails
- Cleaning tripper room
- Miscellaneous plant cleanup/general cleaning duties
