Job Description:
*Substitute position is utilized on as needed basisResponsible for distribution and delivery of food, supplies, or equipment; including pulling and staging of orders. May perform light mechanical work, equipment assembly, preventive maintenance and deep clean kitchens. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community, school and department clientele. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community and school clientele.
Essential Physical Requirements:
• Constant lifting five (5) to twenty (20) pounds
• Frequent lifting twenty (20) to fifty (50) pounds
• Frequent bending, squatting, standing, reaching, extensive walking, stooping
• Occasional sitting, climbing, kneeling, crawling
ESSENTIAL ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
• Possible exposure to institutional food preparation equipment which includes sharp objects, heat, steam, and extreme cold.
• Occasional exposure to cleaning chemicals/supplies
• Exposure to outside weather.
• Noise level in the work environment may be loud.
• May work in area where a microwave is used.
Position Specific Information (if Applicable):
Responsibilities:
Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
Comply with HACCP procedures as required by position category.
Pull individual site orders, stage warehouse orders and transfer accurately.
Process food or supply orders and make deliveries.
Move equipment and/or supplies between sites and warehouse.
Must annually complete all USDA Mandatory Professional Standards training hours, as required by position category.
Comply with Federal, State and Local regulations to ensure safety to staff and students.
May perform light mechanical work and preventive maintenance on kitchen equipment.
Certifications:
Commercial Driver License Class B - Colorado Dept of Transportation, Valid Colorado Driver's License - Colorado Department of Revenue
Education:
High School or Equivalent
Skills:
Verbal and written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions. Strong organizational and time management skills.
