About the role


 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Administer first aid and medications as needed through the school day.
  • Report accidents and fill out necessary forms.
  • Update and maintain all school state and federal reporting for high school as required.
  • Contact parents as needed
  • Encourage better dental education and hygiene.
  • Secure special health materials for teachers
  • Assist with required screenings as assigned
  • Report to principal any potential health and contagious disease situations for concern of student(s)
  • Make home calls with the attendance officer when needed

     

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: 

  • CNA, QMA, LPN, or RN licensing preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices

     

Physical Requirements: 

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
  • Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
