Definition of Class

This position assists with the implementation of special events at The Inn at Ole Miss. The incumbent performs various duties associated with event preparation, organization, and conduction.
 

Essential Functions

These essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following. Additional essential functions may be identified and included by the hiring department.

1. Assists and oversees the preparation and organization of activities in support of events.

2. Performs administrative support duties.

3. Acts as a liaison with clients.

4. Assists with bar service at events.

 

 

These physical requirements are not exhaustive, and additional job related physical requirements may be added to these by individual agencies on an as needed basis. Corrective devices may be used to meet physical requirements.

 

Physical Exertion: The incumbent may be required to lift up to approximately 25 pounds. There will be many times we have to flip rooms between events. This involves moving tables, chairs, and sometimes set-up/tear-down of a stage.

Vision: Requirements of this job include close vision.

Speaking/Hearing: Ability to give and receive information through speaking and listening.

Motor Coordination: While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is frequently required to sit; walk; stand; and talk and hear. The incumbent is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; climb or balance; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch or bend.

Minimum Education/Experience

Graduation from a standard four-year high school or equivalent (GED).

This is a student worker position. Only current University of Mississippi students will be considered.
