Job Description:

As the public face of the Law Library, Circulation Student Assistants are responsible for serving
law faculty, staff, students, and guests at the Circulation Desk. Our diverse team includes law
students, graduate students, and undergraduate students.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
Job Functions include answering questions, checking out items, and doing basic technology
troubleshooting. Some shifts also include opening or closing the library.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Past library and/or customer service experience preferred
• Availability to work library openings (7:00 a.m.), closings (midnight), and/or weekends
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Mature, responsible, and interested in supporting the library’s mission
• Friendly, empathetic demeanor
• Punctual
• Comfortable with using the Internet and learning new software

• Provide general office assistance and support  
• Greet clients and visitors with excellent customer service; answer inquiries and provide information 
• Maintain files and reports and ensure confidentiality of information  
• Assist with various projects, activities or tasks as needed  
• Ability to comply with University policies  
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance
