Job Description:

The actors will work for a grant-funded project aimed at teaching future behavior analysts to deliver collaborative, compassionate care.  

First, the actors will create short (5-minute) videos in which they play the role of a parent of a child with a disability while a project personnel (e.g., faculty member) demonstrates collaborative care skills (e.g., use of jargon-free language, active listening). The role play will be a scenario in which a behavior analyst typically interacts with a client’s caregiver (e.g., discussing a progress report).  Actors will be provided with a loose script to follow.

Second, the actors will participate in 10-minute research sessions in which they will role play a caregiver of a client with a disability while the participant (i.e., graduate students studying behavior analysis), role play typical interactions with a caregiver (e.g., training a caregiver to implement an intervention).  During this time, the actor will follow a lose script provided by the project personnel.

Must have transportation to/from BCDD (Baylor transportation does not run to the BCDD)
