Student - Therapy Dog Intern

Description:
The Wellness Student Intern is ideal for a student majoring in psychology, health and exercise science, or anyone who loves dogs! The successful candidate will report to a staff member in the Wellness Center and will focus on coordinating the Therapy Dog Program as well as supporting other large wellness events throughout the semester.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the Dog Therapy program which includes:
- creating the weekly schedule with volunteers and their dogs
- marketing the Dog Therapy program to campus
- Ensure the program is always staffed appropriately; typically by attending the program each week or through coordinating volunteers to staff the program
- Ensure all paperwork for volunteers and tracking of attendees is completed in a timely manner
- Create a report at the end of the semester showcasing the impact of the program
- Assist with marketing, planning, and implementation of large wellness events such as Wellness Week, Resilience Fair, and Destress Fest
- Assist with other wellness initiatives when possible
Requirements:
- Current full-time student at Ursinus College
