Student: STEM Programs Digital Content Assistant

The Augsburg University STEM Programs Office is seeking a student employee for the position of STEM Digital Content Assistant for the 2024-25 academic year, which spans from September 2024 to May 2025. The student in this role will support STEM Programs, with likely hours varying between 8 and 10 per week.

Requirements: 

• Enrolled or in process of enrolling for 2024-25 academic year

Pay Rate: $15.57 per hour

Timeframe: Academic Year 2024-25 (September 2024 through April 2025)

Job Description

Essential job functions include, but are not limited to:

• Performing content edits on the STEM Programs and PRISM Project websites: modifying text, creating pages, and uploading images
• Creating fliers and registration links for upcoming STEM and PRISM events and opportunities
• Organizing photos on STEM Programs and PRISM Project Drives
• Occasionally distribute mail/packages/notes to other staff members on campus
• Collaborating with the PRISM team to create and manage a Wiki site with resources
• Document technical how-tos for STEM Team

Qualifications

• Student must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong proofreading abilities, and the capability to use writing and/or brand style guides
• Student must have an ability to follow precise instructions while also being detail-oriented, allowing the student to execute instructions correctly and notice when errors are introduced
• Experience with HTML, WordPress, graphic design, and Google Suite for Education applications is preferred but not required
• Previous knowledge of graphic design is not required, but the student must be willing to learn the basic skills required for the position and be interested in visual communication
• Current NSF PRISM Scholar
• Should be familiar with STEM majors and related programs and opportunities at Augsburg. Training will be provided.
