Description
Permanent contract, 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per yearThe salary will be £8.60 per hour aged 16 to 18 years in age, aged 18 years and over the hourly pay is £11.44.
Under the direction of the Student Services Manager the post holder will assist in the provision of an effective Admissions, Student Bursary and Information Advice and Guidance Service across both campuses.

Key Responsibilities
- To provide specific administrative support for the Student Services department
- Greet customers and respond to personal, telephone and email enquiries
- Sign visitors into the college system and inform staff member of the arrival
- Provide information, advice and guidance on the range of courses available
- Assist with the enrolment process of FT 16-18 students
- Assist in taking and processing student course and trip Payments
- Assist in the delivery of our FT admissions process, including course entry requirements

- Assist in processing all FT course applications
- Assist in arranging pre course interviews, liaising with course team leaders and tutors
- Assist in sending offers of places to successful students
- Contribute to and attend the College Open Days and other marketing events
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Minimum of 4 GCSEs (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent including English Language and Maths.
- A good working knowledge of producing documents and emails. MS Excel: Able to create basic Excel formulas, enabling manipulation and dissemination of information Outlook: Able to send and respond to emails, managing folders and tasks.
- Demonstrate experience of first-line customer service including handling enquiries. face-to-face, by telephone and by email.
- Demonstrate experience of handling cash/ credit/debit card transactions. Experience of achieving performance targets and delivering to strict deadlines.
- Demonstrate good professional communication skills including oral, written and active listening. Demonstrate an understanding of what it takes to exceed customer expectations and deliver good customer service. Demonstrate an ability to cope under pressure Demonstrate high levels of organisational skills and an ability to prioritise a busy and diverse workload.
