The School of Educational Studies (SES) has an excellent opportunity for a motivated student to support SES communications, social media, recruitment, and events. The Student Outreach & Communications Coordinator role is an opportunity to use and develop skills in communication, digital and print media, digital storytelling, event planning, community building, and student engagement. 

As student staff in UW Bothell’s School of Educational Studies, the Student Outreach & Communications Coordinator will be part of a team and School which strives to support and empower critically engaged educators who: (1) promote equity and social justice across educational and community contexts; (2) serve as leaders and change agents in their respective fields; and (3) have the commitment and capability to promote the learning of all students in diverse contexts. 

The Student Outreach & Communications Coordinator reports to the SES Associate Director of Academic Services and collaborates closely with SES faculty and staff. 

Priority will be given to those who apply by January 23, 2026. 

Responsibilities: 

• Tell the story of the SES community by creating engaging social media content (graphics, photos, short videos) across SES social media platforms including Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn with the support of SES staff.
• Develop and manage a social media content calendar.
• Collaborate with SES staff to develop and implement social media campaigns, including recruitment campaigns, community spotlights, and campus-wide events like Husky Giving Day. 
• Collaborate with SES staff to analyze social media analytics to gauge the success of campaigns.
• Represent SES social media communications by responding to comments and DMs promptly and professionally.
• Support outreach initiatives across social media during in-person events.
• Support SES staff with drafting student-facing newsletters or informational content like program flyers or course flyers.
• Contribute to the development and facilitation of current and prospective student engagement, outreach, and recruitment programming and events, including planning, logistics coordination and support. 
• Participate in UWB student outreach events like Pathways Week, Welcome Week; Admitted Student Day.
• Support SES alumni outreach initiatives across social media and during in-person events.

Compensation & Hours: 

• Compensation: $21.30/hour
