Job Overview
- Assist manufacturing with implementation of safety, quality, delivery, and cost improvements
- Design fixtures, carts, and tooling
- Research and justify new capital equipment
- Create methods for standard work procedures
- Participate in Rapid Improvement (Kaizen) events
- Recognize and help with problem solving efforts
- Assist with preventative maintenance procedures
- Work with design engineers to implement design changes
A Day In The Life
- 40% Floor support projects
- 40% ME Group support
- 20% Individual facility projects
What will help you thrive in this role?
- Basics of manufacturing processes such as welding, metal cutting and forming, painting and assembly
- Utilization of Lean Manufacturing concepts
- Experience with AutoCAD or Creo is a plus
- Mechanical/construction aptitude and hands-on design a plus
- Experience in fixture design (part specific tables and tools to help with manufacturing practices)
Skills:
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems
- Ability to take on multiple responsibilities/ projects at once
- Background in 3D printing is a plus
