Providence is calling a Student Intern, Cyber Security who will:
- Perform an assortment of entry-level tasks for the greater benefit of the Providence Washington Information Services Organization
- Document desktop or network configuration information
- Create Microsoft Word and Excel documents
- Create Visio documents
- Install software on PC's
- Assist with the deployment of desktop devices
- Assist other IS staff in performing related project tasks
- Support basic cyber security duties
Please note the following important details regarding this role:
- We welcome remote work for residents who live within a daily commutable distance of our office location listed below:
- Washington: Renton
- This role is a full-time temporary non-benefitted role
- This role is intended to be a summer position for a current college student or high school student that is college bound
- The successful applicant for this position will be employed for a duration of time during the Summer of 2024
- The program will last approximately 12 weeks and is anticipated to end around 8/30/2024, however, this may change based upon an actual start date for the role and department needs
- This role will require an in-office presence 1-2 times per month as defined by manager and departmental needs
Required qualifications for this position include:
- Coursework/Training: Acceptance to, or current enrollment in, a four-year college or university
- Coursework/Training: A course of technical study that exposes applicants to PC administration with Microsoft Office application experience
- No actual work experience in an IS environment is required
- Previous employment should demonstrate progressively responsible job duties
