The Student Information Systems (SIS) Coordinator ensures the effective collection, analysis, maintenance, and reporting of data for students of multiple schools, local databases and systems and state testing systems, and K12’s student information systems for an extremely dynamic, virtual school environment.

This is a full-time position. Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week is required. Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during workday, typically 9-5 (or 8-4) or as defined by the school.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.

  • Liaises with coordinators throughout the state to clarify anomalies with other schools;
  • Performs data entry into the student information system (SIS); Verifies accuracy, corrects errors and resolves issues;
  • Coordinates with the North Carolina Department of Education for accurate reporting of numerous state-required surveys; Supports administrators with completion of reports to regulatory entities and K12;
  • Develops, implements and enforces processes to audit student files on an on-going basis; Verifies student attendance records, including source data and ADE uploads.
  • Coordinate the securing of sites based on testing window and staff availability for all types of state testing, and work with site coordinators to ensure documentation is received
  • Manage data in Testing Platform to ensure all information inputted is accurate (including test sites, student data, staff accounts, etc)

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of data management experience
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Professional experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint; Proficient with data entry/using databases; Web proficiency
  • Ability to pass required background check

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with sampling and auditing practices

Compensation & Benefits: Stride, Inc. considers a person’s education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee’s salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position’s level and expected contribution, and the employee’s benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range.
