About the role

Are you passionate about supply chain management and eager to make a significant impact on a global scale? We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Strategic Supply Chain Analyst to join our team in McKinney, TX. This role will play a pivotal part in delivering exceptional supply chain metrics and financial information to both Pressure Management and our internal customers, supporting our global Strategic Supply Chain organization.

As a Strategic Supply Chain Analyst, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Drive Data-Driven Decision Making: Develop insightful presentations and reporting packages, such as Profit Reviews, Board Meetings, Operations Reviews, and Commodity Reviews, enabling key partners to make informed decisions.
  • Lead Supply Chain Excellence: Develop innovative systems and processes to create and maintain supply chain exhibits that align with Emerson's requirements. Your expertise will contribute to our global initiatives and position Emerson as a leader in supply chain management.
  • Foster Collaboration: Serve as the primary point of contact for various Pressure Management departments, facilitating the utilization of supply chain performance and financial information. Your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills will be essential in building strong relationships within our organization.
  • Drive Strategic Planning: Take an active role in the process by prioritizing, communicating, implementing, and reporting on various initiatives to Pressure Management leadership. Your critical thinking and analytical abilities will be crucial in shaping the future of our supply chain operations.
  • Champion Corporate Social Responsibility: Lead our Supply Chain Corporate Social Responsibility Programs, including supporting carbon emission measurement and reduction efforts through facility efficiency and green energy programs. You will also have the opportunity to create a Supplier Outreach program to educate and train key suppliers on sustainability practices.
  • Analyze and Innovate: Develop business intelligence, gather data, conduct analysis, and monitor the external market and supply chain environment. You will identify opportunities to align our supply chain objectives with our corporate strategy, driving continuous improvement and innovation.

Who you are: 

You are a proficient trend watcher in your field. You prepare for tough stands even if against the grain. You define issues and can map out a process. You are effective and understand the customers historically, today, and tomorrow to gather fresh insights.

Required education, experience & skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or closely related field 
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in one or more of these functional areas: Supply Chain, Procurement, Purchasing, or Operations
  • Strong analytical and innovative thinking skills
  • Proven multitasking skills with strong time management abilities
  • Excellent computer skills and a technical aptitude that includes strong data gathering skills, expertise, interpretation, and reporting for the Supply Chain organization
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office (specifically PowerPoint, Power BI and Excel) 
  • Ability to travel internationally and domestically 25% of the time 
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States – sponsorship will not be provided for this role   

Preferred education, experience & skills:

  • Familiarity with SQL or other database management tools for data querying and reporting  
  • Experience with ERP or supply chain management software is a plus
