Strategic Finance Manager

As the Strategic Finance Manager you will help to lead critical financial insights for our Board of Directors as well as executive, business and product teams to help influence data-driven decisions that shape and scale the profit trajectory of our company. You will play a meaningful role in driving financial forecasting, benchmarking and analysis of key financial metrics (including supporting the preparation of reporting, ad hoc analysis, and tracking of KPIs) and cross-functional projects to develop quantitative insights, improve decision-making, and identify opportunities across the broader organization.

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain highly detailed, dynamic, and structured financial models based on various data sets, assumptions, and scenarios
• Work independently as the Strategic Finance representative within cross-functional settings to support development of financial and operational forecasts, cost/benefit comparisons, and analyses related to strategic and operational initiatives
• Drive analysis of key business/financial KPIs, uncover trends, assess current/future business risks and opportunities, and communicate actionable insights to key stakeholders
• Prepare key presentations that summarize information concisely and accurately for principal stakeholders (e.g. Leadership Team, functional group leaders, Board of Directors, etc.)
• Support the development and maintenance of public company data compilation/validation, financial reporting, presentations, and other investor relations / earnings-related communications
• Support corporate transactions (capital structure, M&A, strategic partnerships) by assisting in due diligence processes and assessing business impact
• Aid in optimizing and scaling business and performance metrics reporting

What You’ll Need

• 3+ years experience at an investment banking, consulting or VC/PE firm and/or relevant experience on a Strategic Finance/FP&A team at a technology (preferably financial technology) or financial services company
• Undergraduate degree required
• Excellent analytical and technical financial skills; you must be an expert in Excel - able to contemplate and construct models from scratch that are efficient, scalable, and intuitive
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify errors or potential improvements within your own and others’ work
• Robust organizational and process management capabilities, comfortable with collaborating, multitasking, and prioritizing within a fast-paced, demanding environment
• Outstanding communication skills with the ability to help influence stakeholders in making informed data-driven decisions
• Ability to set clear goals and effectively prioritize workload, operate autonomously and deliver high-quality work output while under pressure and in teams
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP methodologies
