px Group has operated and maintained the Fellside Combined Heat and Power (CHP) plant located in Cumbria, since 2004, and also operates the 0.5 km high-hazard pipeline which is the main fuel supply to the site. The site is an upper tier COMAH installation forming part of the Sellafield COMAH enclave.

The OpportunityWe are now recruiting for a Stores Administrator. 

It is the responsibility of the Stores Administrator to organise, operate and maintain the plant stores system using a computer based management system.

You’ll be supported with personalised on the job training, coaching, mentoring and twice-yearly development and performance reviews to help maintain & develop your contributions and competence.

Key Responsibilities


  • To run the plant stores system in an efficient and competent manner.
  • To raise Purchase Requisitions for spares items of equipment purchased for the plant.
  • Ensure the Environmental Engineer is informed of all new substances brought onto site which may come under the COSHH regulations.
  • Operate the electric overhead travelling crane from both the cab and pendant controls and the Fork Lift Truck in a variety of duties.
  • Inspect the Fellside site ladders on a regular basis.
  • Responsibility for all stores inventory materials stored at Fellside site.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Minimum Requirements:

  • GCSE’s Grades A-C including Math and English
  • Relevant experience in a stores environment
  • Experience using Microsoft Office packages, including Outlook
