Scope of position:

Under the direction of the Logistics Manager, the Central Stores/Parts Coordinator Assistant performs a variety of activities related to the receipt, storage and requisition of materials purchased from outside supplies.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • ERP and Inventory Control
  • Enters Central Stores transactions via SAP
  • Receives and reviews New Part Submission forms and requests
  • Vets requests against existing components
  • Create SAP master data for new spare parts
  • Maintains perpetual inventory of all parts, including responsible for the availability and condition of machine parts, as well as expediting all spare and replacement parts when needed
  • Maintains security of the parts storage area and assures that process control of parts is implemented and followed
  • Monitors, tracks, justifies, and removes obsolete items from inventory
  • Influences the organization at all levels, dealing directly with department heads of personnel utilizing the Storeroom to resolve issues as they arise
  • Participates in annual physical inventory; coordinate annual/on-going/daily Central Stores physical inventory/cycle counting
  • Purchases parts and supplies locally as warranted by need and compliance with Corporate policy
  • If job is to be outsourced, ensures all information packets are complete for initial quote and distribute to qualified suppliers
  • Reviews quote for completeness and discusses with vendor
  • Periodically checks the progress of the outsourced work
  • Facilitates parcel shipment of parts for external repair

 

Backup: 

  • Tracks and enter into appropriate database, the hydrogen gas readings for TA production
  • Prepares reports as needed
  • Coordinates receiving of UPS, FedEx, Airborne, DHL and other deliveries
  • Verifies identification and quantity of materials received with purchase order requirements
  • Verifies condition of materials received
  • Configures materials for internal delivery
  • Acts for Logistics Manager and/or Warehouse Coordinator in his or her absence. Safety, cleaning, and other duties
  • Working knowledge of safety and environmental criteria
  • Observes all safety rules and OSHA regulations and performs job in a safe manner
  • Follows standard operating procedures (SOP, WI, Forms, Flowcharts, etc.)
  • Complies with all Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements
  • Implements and maintains good housekeeping and 5S practices
  • Performs other duties assigned
  • Works on special projects, as assigned
  • Develops SOP’s and Job Aids as required
  • Provides team training as required

 

 

Qualifications:

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
  • The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required

 

Education and/or Expereince:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 5 years relevant experience
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Relevant experience such as ERP systems is necessary
  • Proficiency in the use of desktop applications and Windows-based programs

The range for this position is $32,568.00 - $44,781.00.  Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
